Eagerly fulfilling its aspiration of bringing its retail stores to more key cities and provincial localities, the retail giant marked another business milestone last June 28 at Brgy. Calangcang in Makato for the groundbreaking of Wilcon Depot Makato Aklan, their eighth branch in the Visayas region.

With Wilcon's plan to reach and serve more Filipino home builders and homeowners all over the country, expect more upcoming branches in different localities and provinces to be revealed soon.

Started in 1977 as a 60-square meter hardware store, Wilcon is now boasting a 53-strong store network nationwide with an average size of 10,000 square meters per store and the only publicly listed company in its sector.

In 1977, Wilcon started as a 60-square meter shop along Quezon Avenue. It carried an extensive array of the latest building and finishing materials from international and local markets. A few years after its successful yet humble inception, more branches were established across the Metro and in various provinces in the country.
