Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has handed over P500,000 to Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte to aid in the city’s relief operations for flood victims.

“Thank you once again with all of our hearts, Mayor Sara Duterte, for the financial assistance you gave to Quezon City, as well as the province of Pampanga, to help us provide relief to our flood victims,” Belmonte said.

“We assure you of utmost transparency by reporting to you and the people of Quezon City how each centavo was spent,” she added.

Belmonte met with President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter during the Aug. 13 signing of Hugpong ng Pagbabago’s alliance with local and regional parties, including Quezon City’s Serbisyo ng Bayan Party.

As chairman of the Davao-based HNP, Duterte led the signing of an agreement forming an alliance that aims to deepen the service provided to Filipinos through good governance and responsive leadership.
