DMI, Habitat break ground on Panabo School

Panabo City, Davao del Norte—DMI Medical Supply Inc. and Habitat for Humanity Philippines has started the construction of three Multi-Purpose Center units in Panabo Central Elementary School in Davao del Norte.

Present at the groundbreaking rites for the multipurpose units at Panabo Central Elementary School are (from left) Dr. Melanie Arcillas, executive director-DMIRIE Foundation; Rosemarie Patriarca, principal-PCES; Emilia Mendoza, chairman and president, DMIRIE Foundation; George Espejo Jr., president-DMI Medical Supply Inc.; Michael Angelo Resueno, City Information officer-Panabo City; Dolly Serranillo, Resource Development Manager-Habitat for Humanity Philippines; Dee Silva, Schools Division superintendent, Department of Education, Panabo City; and Jaime Carlom, Education Program supervisor, Department of Education, Panabo City.

The facility will be used for Special Education (SPED) classes and as a venue for student value formation programs, and livelihood training programs for parents and school staff.

Panabo Central is the second home to over 2,000 students and 74 teachers and staff. 

“We would like to thank DMI Medical Supply, Inc. and Habitat Philippines for choosing us to receive this gift. We commit that this place will be filled with learning, laughter and good memories for our students,” says Rosemarie Patriarch, principal of Panabo Central Elementary School.

The Habitat for Humanity Philippines partnership with DMI Medical Supply Inc. covers the building of 10 Multi-Purpose Centers across Davao.
