Globe GoWiFi recently sealed a partnership with the Local Government of Naga and University of Nueva Caseres to provide the city’s residents and students with free, high quality data connectivity.

Camarines Sur 3rd District Rep. Gabriel Bordado Jr. and Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion (from left) join Janis L. Racpan, director for Business Development and Marketing for GoWiFi, and Joanna Marie Santiago, Industry head, Enterprise Group at Globe in marking the partnership.

Officials of Naga City government led by Mayor Nelson S. Legacion joined Globe executives in signing a landmark agreement to put up GoWiFi services for employees and constituents at Naga City Hall.

The services are also available at University of Nueva Caceres, one of the city’s top institutions for higher education.

By having GoWiFi available inside the university, students and teachers alike are assured of free, high-quality data connectivity they can access any time of the day, whether for studying, research, or even for leisure purposes and interaction with co-students and faculty peers.

“We are very excited in pursuing this partnership with the local government of Naga City and University of Nueva Caseres as this marks another milestone in GoWiFi’s mission of helping drive digital transformation in the country,” said Janis Nathalie Racpan, director of Marketing and Business Development at GoWiFi.

“This is in line with our enduring commitment to serve more Filipinos with reliable, high-quality and affordable internet connectivity,” she added.

Other key areas currently fired up by GoWiFi are Bicol Central Station and Naga Civic Station. The partnership looks to extend GoWiFi services to more areas within the city such as Plaza Rizal, Plaza Quezon, Plaza Quince Martires, Our Lady of Lourdes Infirmary, Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum and Naga City Hospital by next year.

GoWiFi, the country’s largest WiFi service, continues its expansion plans nationwide, particularly in high-traffic areas like malls, hospitals, and schools to make high-quality internet connection accessible and affordable to more Filipinos.

As of the first half of the year, GoWiFi is now accessible in 2,500 sites nationwide, up by 500 sites from the previous year.

GoWiFi services are available in regular (free) GoWiFi and premium (paid) GoWiFi Auto, both available to all users with any WiFi-enabled device regardless of network service provider and even international numbers.

Subscription to GoWiFi allows users to enjoy connection speeds as high as 100Mbps depending on location. As a bonus, Globe Prepaid & TM customers can enjoy 1GB of free GoWiFi for every registration of GoSAKTO, GoSURF & EasySURF worth P50 and above that they can use in any GoWiFi hotspot.
