SM arm’s ‘Kabalikat’ hits 5 areas

Olongapo City—More farmers will benefit from SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’ Training Program as different batches were launched in Muntinlupa City, Antipolo City, Laguna, Bataan, and this city.

Some 115 participants and stakeholders attended the urban farmers training program Batch 201 orientation and launch at Barangay Tunasan in Muntinlupa.

SM Foundation’s partners for the training program are Macondray Urban Agri Academy, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Agriculture, BDO Foundation, and the city government of Muntinlupa.

Last month, similar training programs were launched in Antipolo City; Barangay Tuyo in Balanga, Bataan; and Calamba, Laguna. 

In Olongapo, 236 participants and guests attended the launch of the rural farmers’ training program at Escalona Farm, Jolo Tabacuhan, Barangay Sta. Rita.

The program in the city is in partnership with Harbest AgriBusiness Corp., SM Supermalls—SM City Olongapo, SM Markets—SM Supermarket, BDO Foundation, LGU of Olongapo City, DSWD and DA. Another batch was launched in 

SM Foundation’s farmers’ training program seeks to help achieve food security and provide sustainable livelihood for the beneficiaries.
