Central Luzon cops gain two awards in PNP rites

Camp Olivas, Pampanga—The Police Regional Office in Central Luzon received two awards from President Rodrigo R. Duterte during the 117th-anniversary celebration of the Philippine National Police at its general headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus received the Special Unit Award for Exemplary Accomplishment in the Solution of Sensational Criminal Cases, while Police Supt. Ponciano Zafra, chief of police of Cabanatuan City, received the award for Best Component City Police Station of the year.

The President, who was the guest of honor and speaker during the celebration, cited the police officers for their immediate solution of different crimes in the region, including sensational cases that hit the front pages of national papers in the country in the past months.

Corpus said the awards will surely inspire men and women of PRO3 to be more dedicated and honest in doing their jobs, especially eradicating criminalities and illegal drugs in the region.

“The recognition bestowed to PRO3 by the President and general headquarters lift our moral and to work and fight against criminalities and illegal drugs in our jurisdiction,” Corpus added.
