Subic Bay Freeport—The Olongapo chapter of Junior Chamber International will conduct projects to benefit Aeta community in Sitio Mampueng, Olongapo City.

The Jaycees recently hosted a fund-raising event dubbed “Wet and Wild Run” with about 400 runners participating at Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The participants wore summer outfit during the run.

Local community leaders joined the fun run and awarded medals to finishers.

Indigenous people chieftain Rannie Liwanag conveyed his thanks to the participants. To show their gratitude, the tribal members showcased their “talipi” traditional dance, which wowed runners.

“We want long-term projects for the Aetas of Sitio Mampueng,” said JCI Olongapo executive vice president and RP Energy CSR officer Jason Gavina.
