Fratmen give free dental, surgical aid

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya—Close to 100 indigent villagers here were recently benefited with a free dental and circumcision services sponsored by the Alpha Phi Omega International Service Fraternity and Sorority Theta Epsilon Chapter Alumni Association in this town.

The services were given to villagers of barangay Magsaysay Hills here in partnership with the APO-Alpha Theta Alumni Association medical team and collegiate members.

Bro. Reynald Tan, APO-TECAA vice president for internal affairs, said the activity was the first and the biggest dental and surgical services made by the organization to provide free health services for the poor.

“We are grateful for our sponsors as the activity became a success. We hope to bring these services again next year with more resources and intensity,” Tan said.

APO-TECAA here was organized in the late 1980s, with alumni coming mostly from the former Nueva Vizcaya State Polytechnic College, now a state university.

The free dental and surgical services was supported by APO brothers and sisters from here and abroad, PhilHydro company, Governor Carlos Padilla, Provincial Board members Flodemonte Gerdan, Edgardo Balgos, Delbert Tidang, Elma Pinao-an Lejao and Pepito Balgos, Mayor Flaviano Balgos, Vice Mayor Arnel Hernandez, and Councilor Antonio “Bobet” Ngabbu, among others.
