LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—Gov. Amado  ‘Pogi’ I.  Espino III, Provincial Administrator Nimrod S. Camba and Rev. Fr. Allan Morris Abuan from Our Lady of Purification Parish led the blessing and inauguration of the newly-constructed building comprising three units of nine food stalls located near the Pasalubong Center.

The project, which cost P2.5 million, is intended for small-scale vendors who want to avail of a conducive place to sell their goods.

General services officer Evan Gladish P. Domalanta said those vendors who used to occupy ambulant stalls in the area will be given priority at a minimal monthly rental fee.

Domalanta noted written agreements will be prepared by the provincial government to stipulate the conditions for the stalls rental.

Meanwhile, Espino said that to make the place cozier more stalls and fixtures will improve the ambience and transform the area as picnic grove for families or beachgoers.

The stalls are located near the Pasalubong Center, which was constructed in 2015 under the term of the governor’s father, former governor now 5th district Rep. Amado T. Espino, Jr.

Aside from the newly-built stalls, two edifices are scheduled to be constructed-Abong na Dayew (Hall of Fame) and Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC) II.

The Hall of Fame building which will be funded using the P4 million cash incentive from the DILG Performance Challenge Fund and P3.4 million fund of the provincial government will rise infront of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources building.

It will house the awards and recognitions received by the province since the administration of Rep. Espino, Jr.

PTDC II building, which is bigger than the old PTDC but smaller than the Sison Auditorium, will serve as venue for larger conventions and gatherings.

Present during the blessing and inauguration of food stalls are Provincial Administrator Nimrod Camba and some department heads.
