   Philippine Manila Standard, Inc. is in need of:

Jr. Accountant (1)
Work Location: Makati
Salary: Negotiable


  • Male/ Female
  • Candidate must posses at least a Bachelors/ College Degree in Accountancy.
  • Work experience a plus but necessarily not required.
  • Must be highly detail oriented and organized.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications especially Excel.
  • Independent and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of Employees.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Metro Manila and Provincial

1. Maintains subsidiary ledger of all dealers (Manila Standard)
    a.    Metro Manila Area
    b.    Outlets
    c.    Luzon Area
    d.    Visayas/Mindanao Area
    e.    Subscription 

2. Records all transactions in the subsidiary ledgers as follows:
    a.    Deliveries of morning dailies
    b.    Payment against deliveries
    c.    Returns of unsold copies
    d.    Debit/Credit memos.

3. Maintain files for the following: 
    a.    Distribution Reports
    b.    Delivery Reports/ Receipts 
    c.    Returns of unsold copies (RRR) 
    d.    Provisionary Receipts 

    a.    Distribution reports
    b.    Delivery Reports/ Receipts
    c.    Return receiving reports
    d.    Reports of Pal Offloads 

4. Computes monthly rebates
5. Computes Monthly – pick-up discount and carriers allowances 
    Prepares Debit/Credit Memos 
6. Responsible for daily updated statement of accounts 
7. Prepares monthly sales analysis 
8. Prepares monthly aging of receivables 
9. Sends monthly statement of accounts to the dealers 
10. Entertain complaints of dealers, answers them and if possible settle the problems and discrepancies 
11. Periodic reconciliation of accounts of different dealers 
12. Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
