AboitizLand, the real estate arm of the Aboitiz Group, recently launched Seafront Residences, a 43-hectare beachside residential development in San Juan, Batangas. The project will accommodate 800 homes, and serve more than 1,000 ‘vecinos’, or residents, a term used by the developer to refer to people who live in the communities it builds. Seafront Residences is the first build-out property of AboitizLand. It’s partners include DPZ Partners; SC&A Architects and Planners; Budji Layug+Royal Pineda Designs Architects Inc. for architecture and interior design; Crearis Corp. for landscape architecture; and GHD Pty Ltd for site infrastructure and utilities design. “Houses, shops, and services will be closer together amid a traditional neighborhood structure, encouraging people to walk more and drive less,” said Rafael Fernandez de Mesa, first vice president of operations, AboitizLand.
