Mass housing using topnotch engineering

Developer 8990 Holdings Inc. (8990) and  infrastructure company Megawide Construction Corporation (Megawide) recently partnered to build Urban Deca Homes Ortigas, a P14 B project which is Megawide’s largest contract for a single private sector EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) project. The 13-hectare development in Pasig City will feature 24 residential buildings with a total of 18,993 units and a mall. As an EPC contractor, Megawide will undertake site development as well as civil, structural, architectural and MEPF (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection) works. Urban Deca Homes Ortigas is the second project for the 8990-Megawide partnership. Last year, the two companies broke ground for the construction of Urban Deca Homes Manila, a 13-building development in Tondo with a total of 13,012 residential units.  At the signing were Megawide president & COO Edgar Saavedra, VP for operations Ronald Paulo, 8990 chairman Mariano Martinez, Jr., and COO Willibaldo Uy.
