Mpic inks bulk water deal with CDO

MetroPac Water Investments Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC), recently signed a joint venture agreement with the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) to undertake the supply of bulk treated water to address the increasing demand of Cagayan de Oro City. 

At the signing, which was held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, were (from left, Ramoncito S. Fernandez, Maynilad CEO; Jose Ma. K. Lim, MPIC CEO; Atty. Lorenzo R. Rogero, Metro Pacific Water president; Oscar S. Moreno, CDO city mayor; Manuel V. Pangilinan, MPIC chairman; and Engineer Rachel M. Beja, COWD general manager.

The project includes the building  of new water transmission lines, rehabilitation of the Camaman-an reservoir, and delivery of bulk treated water to serve the city’s western side, which currently uses deep wells for its water supply.
