Mexican students visit PH cemex plant

CEMEX Philippines recently held the CEMEX ‘Si Mento at Ako’ program, a guided tour around CEMEX cement plant operations.

Visiting students from Tecnológico de Monterrey were toured around the Solid Cement Plant in Antipolo City as part of their Programa de Liderazgo Empresarial Internacional (PLEI) learning tour.

PLEI organizes international academic-commercial missions to encourage personal and professional integration of future leaders and learning from Mexican enterprises.

With its roots going back to Mexico, CEMEX Philippines was chosen to be part of the PLEI Asia tour.

During the plant tour, the students learned the different stages of cement-making using equipment such as the crusher, raw mill, kiln, and finish mill, among others. Plant initiatives, innovations, and best practices in cement technology were likewise showcased to give the youth delegates a better appreciation of how building solutions can be produced and delivered safely, and sustainably.
