Standard Chartered Philippines (SCB PH) supported Brigada Eskwela 2017 through a recent school clean-up and information campaign in Pateros Elementary School. More than forty (40) employee volunteers from the bank joined teachers and parents in preparing the school classrooms in time for the school opening come June. Brigada Eskwela is the annual program of the DepEd where teachers, students, parents, and other interested parties join hands to prepare classrooms in public schools for use in the coming school year. SCB PH’s support this year included an information session on financial education and HIV/AIDS awareness which benefitted 154 teachers and parents. “Standard Chartered believes that education provides the foundation for long-term economic growth and the youth are significant influences in transforming a society,” said Mai Sangalang, SCB PH head of corporate affairs/brand & marketing.
