8990 Holdings Inc., recently announced its entry into the luxury resort business through its newest subsidiary, 8990 Leisure and Resorts. The project is a resort development in Siquijor, an island in the Central Visayas region, whose relatively untapped tourism potential rivals some of the most popular tourism destinations in the country. Adama Resort Siquijor is set to open in 2020 and will feature 250 well-appointed rooms built within a 20-hectare property. 8990 Leisure and Resorts president Lowell Yu explained that Adama Resort Siquijor will highlight the tourism potential of Siquijor – from its pristine reefs, and virgin white sand beaches to its unique reputation as a mystical island. Among the main features of the resort is a central foyer that highlights the island’s natural scenery, rooms that are expertly designed to take advantage of natural light enhanced by the use of relaxing earth tone colors (Shown here), and luxury cabanas. These amenities will be complemented by an exclusive butler service.
