SANO Cup 2018 road game

Legazpi-based SANO alumni priests and former seminarians of St. Gregory the Great Seminary (Tabaco, Albay) and Mater Salutis College Seminary (Daraga, Albay) travelled, met up and clashed with their Manila-based SANO counterparts in a friendly basketball game at the Santa Rosa City Laguna Sports Stadium last Oct. 1. In an intense and exciting game dubbed as “SANO CUP goes to Laguna,” the Team Manila-Malaniton beat the visiting Team Legazpi-Oragon, with Fr. Hector Cañon and Dwyne Camacho  (Manila) topscoring for the winning team, and Brigs Bringino (Legazpi) carrying his team in a losing effort. Now on its 2nd Season, the SANO CUP 2018 is a friendly basketball game organized by Fr. Jonnathan Calleja and Ronald Ramirez in Legazpi City, aimed at fostering camaraderie, rekindling fond memories and strengthening brotherhood among SANO baller participants. The Laguna road game was organized by the SANO Manila Team, led by Dwyne Camacho, with Boss Jun Fernandez (SGGS-B94), Boss Choy Magracia (SGGS-B93), Atty. Joey Garcia (SGGS-B92) and Fr. Alvin Chavez (SGGS-B91) as major sponsors. Special thanks goes to Fiscal Atty. Xaxy Calubag for the warm welcome at the sports stadium. Jo Samarista
