A 74-year-old fisherman in Tinoto, Sarangani shows off his plenteous catch of sigisi fish, known among Tagalogs as tambakol and among Ilocanos as tanggige—also known in English as Spanish mackerel, with the bigger variety called wahoo—during one morning he returned from his fishing routine in Sarangani Bay near General Santos City, near rich fishing grounds like the Moro Gulf, the Sulu Sea, the Mindanao Sea and the Celebes Sea.
