Farmers’ training

Ninety graduates were added to the roster of Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan Rural Farmers Training as they completed a 12-week program in Barangay Lanit, Jaro, Iloilo City.  The training, conducted in partnership with Harbest Agribusiness Corp., was an opportunity for farmers to learn the latest techniques in vegetable farming from soil preparation to fertilizer utilization and suitable harvest methods. Other program partners are SM City Iloilo, SM Supermarket, Department of Education, Department of Agriculture, Department of Social Welfare and Development and the local governments of Barangay Lanit, Jaro and Iloilo City.
