Water and the economy

Environment Secretary Roy A. Cimatu commits to prioritizing the rehabilitation of water bodies that have significant potential in contributing to the local economy during the 2017 Water Quality Management Area Summit held Wednesday at the  Hotel H2O in Manila. He  cited Malandog River in Antique as initial site of the DENR’s Sustainable Rivers Action and Conservation Program. The river was chosen for its strong socio-cultural and historical importance to the people of Antique and the whole Panay Island.
