“There are four EPC contractors. Evaluation is ongoing. They have submitted technical proposals already and making final selection and sign the contract by April,” Alsons Power vice president for project development Joseph Nocos said.

The prospective EPC contractors of Alsons Power’s latest coal project are Dongfang Electric International Corp. of China; Jurong Engineering Ltd. of Singapore; Northeast No.1 Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group; and Shandong Electric Power Construction Company, a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China.

Nocos said bulk of the coal project amounting to 85 MW was already contracted to Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative.
