Manila Electric Co. confirmed its interest to bid for the selection of a joint venture partner to develop power distribution in the New Clark City of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority.

Meralco is the country’s biggest electricity retailer with over 6.2 million customers in its franchise area.
Meralco and Angeles Electric Corp. own Clark Electric Distribution Corp., the sole electric distribution company in the Clark Special Economic Zone.
