PT&T hikes capital for transformation

Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corp. said it is expanding its capital as it pursues transformation into a digital services provider offering a wide range of telecommunications and IT services.

PT&T, which has been a leader and innovator in the Philippine telecommunications industry since 1962, is embarking in a massive expansion and upgrading of its network to provide a reliable and extensive fixed and wireless services to Filipino consumers.

“We stay true to our commitment to serve in the fixed and wireless broadband space as we have served the Filipinos for the pst half century,” PT&T executive vice president Renato Garcia said.

PT&T said it planned to add to its half century-long legacy by continuing to innovate and offer telecommunication services to the Filipino.

The company  said it would continue its growth strategy by expanding its fiber footprint across the country. PT&T spent an initial P100 million for the completion of the initial phase of expansion of its network.
