McDonald’s has teamed up with PayMaya Philippines Inc. to accept cashless payments through self-ordering kiosks in its select stores in Metro Manila.

“We’d like to congratulate McDonald’s for bringing this remarkable innovation to their stores in the Philippines. Through our respective innovations we hope to transform the experience of McDonald’s customers whenever they order their favorite food, and push the adoption of the ‘cashless’ lifestyle by more Filipinos,” PayMaya Philippines chief operating officer and managing director Paolo Azzola said.

Ordering and paying for McDonald’s favorites are now more convenient, as PayMaya powers the cashless experience in the quick-service restaurant chain’s new Self-Ordering Kiosks, now available in select stores in Metro Manila.

The new Self-Ordering Kiosk allows for faster and smoother transactions at participating McDonald’s branches, as customers will only have to tap their orders at the screen and pay for their purchases by tapping or inserting their VISA or Mastercard at the terminal on the machine.

After payment, they can proceed to the Claim Counter to pick-up the food they ordered.

The cashless transactions at McDonald’s Self-Ordering Kiosks are powered by One by PayMaya Business, an all-in-one payments terminal that can accept several transaction modes, including cards- and mobile-based payments.

Customers can try out the Self-Ordering kiosks powered by PayMaya at the McDonald’s McKinley West (Fort Bonifacio), Kapitolyo (Pasig), Robinson’s Galleria (Pasig), Madison (San Juan), and Pioneer (Mandaluyong) branches of McDonald’s in Metro Manila.

Aside from facilitating quick transactions, One by PayMaya Business terminals are designed to be user-friendly because they look very much like most smartphones today.
