DP World’s subsidiary ATI Philippines committed to set up “green economic zone logistic hubs” and an eco-industrial park in the Philippines, according to Philippine Economic Zone Authority deputy director-general Theo Panga.

A globally-known port operator, DP World invited Peza to make a presentation about business prospects in the Philippines to its top management and Jebel Ali Freeport Zone locators.

Panga said the green logistics hub is characterized by integrated one-stop shop, multi-modal transport, use of kinetec energy to power up cranes and fast ship berthing.

Its full automation allows for remote operation and control of quay cranes, vessel pilotage and other building management system and the application of various simulation training facilities.

Peza is trying find ways to reduce cost of cargo transport while enhancing logistics efficiency in the economic zones.
