Clark Development Corp. said Wednesday it signed a lease agreement with Isoc Holdings Inc. of businessman Michael Cosiquien to develop a P6-billion, seven-hectare property into an entertainment resort inside Clark Freeport Zone.

Isoc Holdings, the project developer, said it planned to build a harmonized recreational, entertainment, business and lifestyle complex, complete with hotels, offices, serviced condominiums and retail facilities.

Aidea Design lead architect Ricardo Reyes said during the signing ceremony that the project would be an environment-friendly development where the natural setting of the area would be incorporated in the design.

“What we envision for the project is a sustainable and energy-efficient development plan. We don’t want to alter the environment drastically but we want to blend it with our design,” Reyes said.

Isoc Holdings chairman Michael Cosiquien, a co-founder and director of Megawide Construction Corp., said the project would showcase Isoc’s thrust towards environmental sustainability.

“We see this project as a showpiece for Isoc’s very strong push towards environmental sustainability where we will maximize the natural attributes and resources of the property and incorporate them in the design, flow, construction and use of building and facilities,” Cosiquien said.

He said the developer made sure that every detail was geared towards every particular customer – the tourist, businessman, boss lady, families and kids, outdoors enthusiasts, adventure-seekers and the average customer.

CDC president and chief executive Noel Manankil said the said project would complement the various developments in Clark Freeport.

“There is a growing demand for more lodging facilities and corresponding amenities within a carefully planned community that ushers in a new, unique and distinctive lifestyle. This undertaking augurs well in the overall development blueprint for Clark that would redound to a greater benefit for the region,” Manankil said.

Established under ISOC Holdings, I-Land Clark teamed up with world-class designers and companies for the concept, construction and design of the project which aims to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environment Design certification.
