D.M. Wenceslao seeking big infrastructure projects

D.M. Wenceslao & Associates Inc., an integrated construction and real estate developer, plans to secure big-ticket government infrastructure projects to complement its projects within its 107-hectare Aseana City.

“We are a AAAA general contractor, one of less than 20 in the country, and are in a position to take advantage of the government’s massive infrastructure program, especially in our core areas of horizontal infrastructure and construction, foundation works and marine construction,” said DMWAI chief executive officer Delfin Angelo Wenceslao.

Wenceslao did not identify the potential government projects. The company has ongoing several construction projects in Aseana City, including the mall being put up by Ayala Land Inc. next to Solaire and City of Dreams Manila.

The company over the past years has completed over 100 construction and infrastructure projects across the country and reclaimed the land hosting Aseana City, Solaire, Resorts World’s West Side City and the City of Dreams entertainment complex.

DMWAI negotiates to have the first right to build for the buyer or the lessee, or the right to match the lowest bid of contractors when it sells or leases land in Aseana.

”We also have our own projects in Aseana which will be a central business district in the coming years within the huge development encompassing the Entertainment City, Mall of Asia, the Senate and various other developments,” Wenceslao said.

DMWAI helped the government reclaim 2.04 million square meters in the Manila Bay area. It is now the country’s fastest-growing commercial business district.

The company currently owns some 568,000 square meters in its flagship project at the 107-hectare Aseana City. About 292,000 sq. m. are not allocated yat and available for development.

The company also has 208,000 sq. m. of landbank in several other locations in the Philippines.

“This distinguishes us from other property developers who have to rely on locating and acquiring suitable land for their developments at significantly higher costs, providing us a premium competitive advantage over our competitors,” said Wenceslao.
