The automotive industry may adjust sales forecast higher as soon as discussions at the Senate about the proposed tax reform measure are finalized.
Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. president Rommel Gutierrez said the industry was still on track with the self-imposed target of 450,000 units.
“To adjust the targets we need the certainty of discussions at the Senate,” he said after seriously considering the forecast might go either way.
Gutierrez said the group submitted the same position paper to both Congress and Senate.
“If you look at our position paper, we proposed what we deem are justifiable adjustments to all the segments, all the brackets. We are all ears to the Senate discussions,” he added.
