Philippine Airlines said Wednesday it will mount direct flights from Tagbilaran City in Bohol province to Incheon and Clark next month as a part of the flag carrier’s continuing route expansion.

PAL said by June 22, Tagbilaran would become the sixth local city to be linked to an international destination as PAL would mount chartered service to Incheon.

PAL currently operates international flights out of Manila, Cebu, Clark, Kalibo and Puerto Princesa.

The Tagbilaran-Clark flights, which will start June 23, provide tourists with direct access to central Luzon and central Visayas without having to endure Metro Manila’s traffic.

PAL carried 13.4 million passengers in 2016, up from 11.9 million in 2015.
