The Board of Investments approved the separate hotel projects of Gothong Southern Properties Inc. and Legazpi Mei Li Inc. with a combined cost of P427.7 million
“These hotels will cater to both local and foreign tourists coming to Cebu and the rest of Central Visayas as with Legazpi City and the Bicol region. These will fuel the robust economies of Cebu and Bicol as developers partake a slice of the areas’ huge tourist markets, which are among the top destinations in the country,” said Trade Undersecretary and BoI managing head Ceferino Rodolfo.
The Tourism Department endorsed the two projects as tourist accommodation facilities under the 2017 Investment Priorities Plan.
Gothong is constructing a ten-story, 192-room, two-star hotel on Wilson St, Lahug, Cebu City that will go by the brand “Yello! Hotel.”
Legazpi Mei, meanwhile, will build a 3-story hotel under “The Marison Hotel” brand.
